Munich Satellite Navigation Summit 2014

TerraStar were prominent participants at this biennial conference and exhibition in Germany from 25-27 March which brought together leading experts and organisations from around the world to report and discuss latest GNSS developments and concepts, beginning with an opening plenary session on "GNSS - New Challenges".

Among key conference topics was Precise Point Positioning (PPP), with Veripos Research & Innovation Manager Pieter Toor among those to extol the proven virtues of the technology in a presentation noting increasing growth in the number of applications, products and users. Its future is bright and exciting, he added, but its commercial viability still necessitates a lot of effort, money and resources as evidenced by Veripos's recent acquisition by Hexagon AB of Sweden along with close working partnerships with major equipment manufacturers such as NovAtel and Septentrio.  A copy of Pieter's presentation can be found at this link.

By all accounts, the exhibition and conferece was a huge success.  A full write up by GPS World on the event can be found at http://gpsworld.com/a-professional-oem-view-of-the-munich-summit/.
